Neck Turner Preference

Getting a new neck turner either PMA or 21st Century. Just the turning tool, nothing else. What is your Preference? Thanks Allen

What is your Preference?
I'm close to a rank amateur. But I started with the 21st Century and couldn't be happier. Easy to set up, extremely easy to adjust to obtain the desired neck thickness and a first class tool all the way around. And when ever I needed any support or assistance in any way on any of my 21st Century tools/equipment, they are excellent to work with.

And if you no longer need it, the resale market is excellent at a high $ value.

I really like 21st century products and John is top notch to deal with.... However Pat at PMA is top notch too and I personally like his neck turner better.

Why doesn't anyone like the K&M?

There a good little machine but that’s the trouble there little!... built for a woman’s hand or a child. They do make a bigger insert or adapter that helps. The Sinclair and Pumpkin fits my big hands the best, The pMA is the easiest and quickest to adjust. One of these days I’m gonna bite the bullet and buy a IDOD There by far the most precise system going right now I believe.

I dont have a procedure. I use a dedicated motor with a caseholder and turn necks. I usually do it on the coffee table. Millions of posts on this on here if you do a search

Thanks again for your reply.
I have done the searches and am preparing a Bodine gearmotor for my use. I Respect your decision making and thought I'd ask in this thread.

I have a K&M and added a PMA on their Christmas sale. As posted above, K&M is small. I made a wooden holder to make it bigger. But you didn't ask for K&M, so . . .
PMA is big (almost heavy) and fills the hand.
PMA adjuster works great. .0002 hash marks, and from my measurements, that's what it did. I have not changed the setting, so don't know if its repeatable on the scale when changing it, then coming back to the same hash mark.
When I searched posts at Christmas, both 21st and PMA have a strong following, and are great tools. Look at mandrel costs (you may load multiple calibers) and see if that sways your decision.
