Hydroformed brass

Do any IBS 600 or 1000 yard competition shooters use hydroformed DASHER brass??
Just wondering if competition guys use hydroformed brass when the rubber meets the road.
Does hydroforming result in as concentric brass as the false shoulder method?

Sure many of them do. Only thing is they have shot the brass a time or two after hydro forming to get a proper fit to the chamber.

DJ's Brass does my hydro-form brass. It comes to me ready to load and shoot. I have two fire-form barrels but neither has been used in several years.
There are others that hydro-form but, having tried a couple of them, I can say nothing to even close to the quality of DJ's.

I buy all my 6mm Dasher brass hydroformed from Huntslongrange dot com
and like CaptainMal said, I do fire it 2x before shooting a match

I fire form only. Feel it gives more control over the finished product. Again though, cases are fired with full charges before they are used in a match.

My hydro formed brass is match capacity ready hit with 50,000 PSI one time hydraulic fluid. Many top shooters on this web site, have taken my hydro-formed brass straight out of the boxes and loaded up and shot 3" and 4 " 1000 yard groups during a IBS 1000 yard match. Pictured below, is a part of a 500 piece batch done today, that I just finished hydro forming and annealing ready for shipment. All my hydro formed brass is annealed before shipping for consistency.

DJ's has a great reputation. Their hydro formed brass is quite unlike the home stuff I see.

Even as good as it is, the perfect fit/headspace to the chamber will only come from firing once.

I made a Dasher in 2008, and had a Hornady hydroform die made to my reamer print from PT&G.
First match with the rifle was a 1,000 yard match, and I had the best group on my relay of about 6 shooters. And that was virgin formed brass (not load development cases shot again).
So yes, they can be accurate for the first shot.
Having formed several hundred in the past, I'd seriously look at DJ's service and save yourself the headache.
