Roy Hunter bullets/ testing

“Best Bullets ever Tom “ but yea folks Roy has got this thing figured out ! The bullet just wants to shoot small , and it don’t blow up into a vertical strung out group when you’ve missed your powder charge . I shot them this weekend in the Ga state match and they shot consistent all weekend . They seem to be a “bulldozer” in conditions to top it off !! Thanks Roy !!
that's the pursuit we are after... bullets that work even when we miss "the window"

Testing a new bench seating position and it’s effects on tracking Sunday afternoon. The bullets were some of Roy’s. The high left shot took it just out of the ones. 10 shots at 100 yards when I was mainly focusing on bench setup not groups. His bullets just shoot. Dave.

I’m thinking the shooter is pretty darn good here also...

We are blessed with so many great long range bullets. I am a fan of Bart's bullets, but there are many that will allow one to win (if they pull the trigger at the right time). Berger, Eazor, Hunter, Jacobs' Vapor Trail, Moore's Hillbilly, and David Tubb's DTAC, Lahr's, along with Bart's are all great. I ran across this photo of a group shot with David Tubb's 115 grain DTAC. It is a 10-shot group shot with his uncoated RBT back in 2016.

View attachment 1127480 This picture was taken about a week ago at the official "laboratory". Roy still gives me a hard time about shooting off a collapsible table, but if you hang your bucket of tire chains off it, it's not all that bad....just don't set your elbow down lol.

The picture below was taken on February 16th, my second day on the range with Roy's bullets. As we can see, the tire chains have gone full circle! Unfortunately, it's probably not to far off AGAIN.

Hello, I am not sure but did you use the 106 A's for the above 5 shot group testing ?

Whatever the current "A" is, it is the only 6mm he's producing. Two more guns tuned up recently.....same results. We never want to get too comfortable in our game, but it's seriously starting to feel like cheating lol.

Here's a few 3 shot groups within a "ladder" test while looking for the 6 shot group. Tuning one up for a friend to shoot here in a couple weeks. Still using my 871 yard spot.

Here's the orange gun with 3 different seating depths .003 between each, and 4 of each setting.

Tom or anyone else, I received 500 of the 103's and would like to know
if you have an idea of the B.C. of the 103's?
Would be helpful to plug into a ballistic calculator.

Low .5s is my best guess from drops. For my game I just judge whether or not they group with conditions on them, and they do. They hit at the same settings as vlds and vapor trails, so adjust from the low .5s unless anyone has any more refined testing to offer.

The 103 6mm has already been perfected. This years J4 jackets are fantastic. Can’t wait to see the final results for the season. Can’t wait to do some definitive testing.
