POST PICS OF YOUR PRS MATCH RIFLES

I’m not much in sniper hide because I had a guy almost get me on a bunch of money for a night force comp I just got lucky that my bank had the wrong numbers he made a fake postal service and made it look like it shipped all the way to my state and it never moved again after that not a good experience on there at all

Here go two of my buddies rifles that I shoot with. The closest rifle is my buddy’s who was my partner at mammoth. He’s in my profile pic on this forum.

The one far away is my spoiled rich friend’s “glam gun.” He literally gave gradeous a blank check and said build me the best gun you can. My buddy shoots maybe 50 rounds a year through it. Lol

what scope is that?

The company that’s been importing IOR, Valdada, they spec-ed this scope under their name, called the valdada Recon 2. It’s made in Japan by an undisclosed optics maker that I imagine makes all the nicer Made in Japan scopes. Some of the scopes we really like, March, Nightforce and several others, I suspect have some common origins.

That looks like the higher end Riton scope. I thought it was a bushnell at first. Good deal. Scope manufacturers are really stepping up their game.

300_whisper they r helping and specs will also help I’m really thankin bout using manners I have a 700 6mm dasher in manners t5a but I really like the mpa matrix but I’m not 100% wanting to use rem 700 action wats everyone thoughts on the Curtis vector action I like it because I can change barrels hand tight and go with it and wats everyone’s thought on the 6mm dasher would u go 6mm dasher or 6mm GT and keep the pics and info coming guys every lil bit helps

It would be very interesting to know who really makes all these “brands” scopes. There could be surprising kinships.

This one has a 40mm main tube which allows 150 moa internal adjustment in a 30 power variable. It’s great glass.

Everyone I shoot with shoots 6.5CM, 6CM, .308 win, or .243. The 6 dasher and 6xc would be great if you reload. I would not recommend a .223 or .308 unless in a tactical class or using them for training guns. I was struggling with my .223 past 650 yards at mammoth. I was secondary shooter (tactical class) and my buddy was having a hard time spotting my impacts. Also the wind on the second day was 20 mph so it was a crap shoot with me shooting 750, 800, and 900 yards.

I have heard good things about the Curtis actions. There’s nothing wrong with a slicked up rem 700. Any custom action will serve you well. The defiance’s are truly nice though. Very smooth cycling, very accurate, and no issues feeding. I really, really loved my bighorn TL3 but sadly it was stolen after a range session when I stopped for lunch.

My only bad experience was with a stiller tac30. It kept binding on me. That’s my experience though. Other guys swear by them.

I’m not a fan of chassis. I can’t get comfortable behind. Once I went manners I’m never going back. Probably the best stocks ever made. I don’t even like McMillan after playing with manners.

I really like my manners but I really been wanting a mpa just not sure witch one I want to go with and I do reload but is anyone shooting the 6mmgt

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with them. I just don’t personally like them. I think MPA makes complete rifles if you take a look at them. They are one sharp/sleek looking rifle. That’s for sure. That might be right up your alley. I have no experience with the 6mmGT.

6 GT will come on hard this year. People are sheep and will follow and this seems a sport people think they can buy points. I'm not saying it's a bad cartridge but it's for sure not worth changing calibers for the sake of better performance. 6 Dash, 6GT and (6x47 or 6XC) are about 1.5 CC H2O apart from one another. Factory brass and no fire forming will make the GT better than the 6 BR alternatives IMO and I will probably run a 22 variant of the 6GT next season due to being out of bbl and worn brass.

MPA chassis is IMO the best of the chassis as they are well thought out. That said I hate the cold emotionless look and feel of chassis guns but there is no denying the adjustability and functionality of a good chassis. I prefer my little 223AI in a grayboe over my MPA but I also know which one I shoot better and serves it's purpose best and it's not the grayboe.

These are going to be different by next weekend...

While they are both MPA Comp chassis, you can see the each has a different butt pad and grip. I am moving the gray chassis to a different action and going with an AI AX chassis. I also ordered up a lateral adjustable cheek piece and what is supposed to be a thinner butt pad from MPA. I am also moving from the MPA mounts for both of these and replacing them with SPUHR 4002's.
