Kind of a stupid question...if it was a question? There is no capital letter to start and a question mark to end the comment. Guessing it is a question without any kind of background.
I say a Beeman .17 cal air rifle is the best for hunting squirrel and chipmunk in the back yard. Now for near all big bears, Moose and general big game hunting in Alaska or areas where the big bears abound, I use my Winchester 338 Win Mag rifle. For hunting prairie dog I like the 223 and 22-250 Ackley cartridges in the rifles I own. 30-30 is my favorite cartridge in a few Marlin levers I own for woods hunting. On one I can effectively hit to 300 yards.
Now for deer and antelope in open areas I like everything from my little 6mm Remington 600, 257 Roberts in a 700 Remington Mountain rifle, 6.5 AI's in both Savage and Remington and also have fun with my old '06 pump rifles. Bigger than that, like elk and out comes the 7mm mag in a Winchester I have.
Now there are times when my muzzleloader, 44 mag rifles ... oops ... forgot my 270's. Use them for a variety of hunting scenarios for different game.
Sir - What are you talking about?
