New paint!

Well, I happened upon a great deal on a Mcmillan prone stock on eBay a couple of weeks ago, so I snagged it up. It was in a somewhat rough shape, some nicks and dings here and there, and the original camo paint job from Mcmillan was looking pretty grungy. So, I spent a refinishing it. Roughed it up with some scotchbrite, 5 coats of rustoleum automotive gloss black. Then sponged on the Estes model paint in destroyer gray and a custom mix of brass and gloss black. I love the way it turned out. I put my Nesika FTR rifle in it and shot it. She shoots wonderfully in her new stock and I must say it is quite comfortable with all of the adjustments! The group was shot at 100 yards. There are 6 shots on the target. I shot an extra after the marked flier. I knew I had changed my hold when I broke the shot, and sure enough, the shot went out of the group. Enjoy the eye-candy!IMG_3193.JPG IMG_3194.jpg IMG_3195.JPG IMG_3188.JPG

Don't think I had seen that color combo before. But, it's catchy to the eye. Good job.

Thanks guys. Ive really been digging the sponge camo with atypical color ways. I did my PRS rifle in the same pattern, but with gray and orange. Its so stinking easy to do. I just wish I had a spray booth and heat curing oven for caracote, id use that instead of the estes model paint if I had the right equipment/ space.
