Bullet UP or bullet DOWN for BR?

Some thoughts please..... In BR competition, record and sighter rounds is your block milled to hold your rounds bullet up or bullet down?

In other words, do you'se prefer to grab the bullet or the base to throw them into the loading port?

I read a article once in PS magazine about a guy that ran a crony test with pistol ammunition shooting 3 position (^ > v ) and each had a different speed. Made me think about how rifle ammunition was loaded and how important doing it the same way each time may have a bearing on the speed . Just throwing that out there but I watched myself loading and decided to build a block with bullets down so I handled it all the same while trying to shoot fast.

Yep with the bullet down I only grab the case once virtually the same way each time.

Bullet down running from a port level block, this is with ejection actions. Before when I had to remove spent brass, I would lay rounds by joystick with bullet pointed down range.

Always wondered about grabbing and touching the bullet as I pull it from the block. Mine are home-made spacers I keep inside the front bad on the rests.

I agree I wouldn’t travel with bullet down, only time bullet is down is when going into loading block..

During competition, I pull from my carrier instead of having a special block for the match ammo. I put the spent cases back in the carrier with primer up.
I have thought about purchasing one of Alex's blocks. They are sure nice looking and would make life easy. My concern is adding another item that won't fit in my already full range bag.

Bullet up. Grab it by the neck , rotate hand and drop into port base first.
