Sierra .22's

From your experience... which lightweight Sierra .22 MK is consistently the most accurate ? The 52bt ,or the 53 fb version?

In my limited and humble experience,
The 52 grain Sierra’s can be tough to beat.... sometimes even against custom bullets.

I asked this same question a few places and the results there mirror the answers here. I decided not to buy a bunch as I wanted too, but rather I added just 1 box of the 52's to my order to try first and if nothing happy happens within that box I'll try the 53's next.

I’ve had my best groups with the Sierra 53fb bullets out of my stock Rem700 222 Rem. I’ve tried the 52hpbt, 50g zmaxs, 50g blitz, and 52 fb Bergers

Sierra’s site has a review from a guy from Australia on the 53fb. He says over the last 30 years they have shot 3000 hogs and a 1000 deer with this bullet, and won’t use anything else. Has anyone here shot the 53fb out of the .223 with a 8 twist barrel?

The 55 gr spitzer boat tail served me well for a long time in my 22 250. Thanks for question because I'm now wondering why I haven't tried them yet in my Anschutz .222

I've shot 40 or so out of a box of the 52's in load development so far and haven't found anything real real nice yet with H4198. But to be fair the gun didn't seem as fond of this bottle of powder compared to the last.

I’m my experiences both will shoot very well.

If you’re going for ease on fur, the 52 has performed more consistently over the years for me.
