Thanks to Joel Russo I have my new CURTIS CUSTOM SS single shot action in hand and ready to start the new 25 SAUM IMP build...
Slickest action I have had my hands on in a long time...
Pinned scope base....
Pinned recoil lug....
DLC Coated bolt....
700 footprint.....
Planning on scoping it with my old 5.5-22-50 -NP2DD- Nightforce ...
Need to hunt up a Jewell with safety for it.....Axiom.RSjpg.jpg

I have one of their new Vectors on order. please more pictures and information on the stock. Looks like a great build, can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks
Nick

That is just a nice old Claro Walnut stock I've had for quit a while...
Dug it out a few weeks ago and did some checkering on it..
Figured I would use it on the new build instead of just setting in the corner..
Probably be a couple of months before the it's finished..

What twist barrel is this? There will be a new high BC bullet coming out soon if you want to fling something slick out of that 257.

This one is a 10 twist BRUX ..
It better be a better bullet than the 110 BIB's that I'm shooting out off most of my 25's..

Sorry for delayed response.

I will be selling high BC 257 bullets in the coming months but they will require 1:7.25" twist to be stable in all conditions in North America down to freezing temps and sea level, and that twist rate will be the twist I will stock in the blanks I will be carrying in my online shop once everything is released. If a guy calculates his needed twist rate given his local or expected environmentals a guy could get away with a 1:7.75 or 1:8 in slightly higher Density Altitudes.

The bullet with be in the low 130 grain class and have a very aggressive form factor and high ballistic coefficient.

To simplify an explanation of the performance - in a short action AI magazine and a Creedmoor case there is really no better bullet/case/magazine combo to date. This bullet will make match rifle setups really shine while also bringing new life to 25-06, 25 WSSM, 257 WBY, and Roberts' cartridges.

I would be very interested in a high BC .257. I am a big fan of 25 caliber but have had to build 6mm's and 6.5's because of the lack of tactical bullets in 25 caliber. A low 130 grain would be perfect. I think a 25 x 47 or a 25 Creedmoor would be as good and probably better than the 6's or 6.5's.
Heavier bullet than the 6's and higher velocity and flatter trajectory than the 6.5's.
Would sure like to find out. Romulus, do you have a web-site? I'm in.
