Skeletons on my personal rifle

Hey guys,

I have not posted in a while. Finally broke down and did some skeleton work on my own 6 x 47 Lapua. I also did my PPR shroud in the Full Hex style. Adds a little bling to the rifle and saves a whopping 2 oz. Man, this thing is so much easier to carry now it is amazing. Lol. Enjoy. Also included a pic of a nice Rem. stainless bolt that I just finished up for a good customer of mine. Thanks for checking it out. Should have a new website up and running in a few weeks.:D:D

Regards, Paul

Verry nice!!!
From the title I thought I was gonna see skulls and grim reapers and the like.
Being that were basicly neighbors, I'm gonna have to send some work yous way. Good reason to take a drive.

Beautiful work, as usual! About time you indulged yourself!

I guess it's the way of things. A colleague's husband is a contractor, and a very good one. He's done amazing custom work on dozens and dozens of houses. And he has the most overwhelming 'Honey do' list I've ever seen . . .

I really like the bolt shroud treatment. I'm going to have to add to your pile of work one of these days.

Paul beautiful work but if I fluted bolts that were going to be used out of a magazine I would never want straight flutes.

Stan,

I totally agree. My particular bolt was the first bolt that I had ever fluted. Literally done in 1998 if you can believe that. 12 yrs. before I started my business. This is the one and only straight fluted bolt I have ever done, and is always run as a single shot with a nice bench rest follower in place. If I were to flute one straight today, I would only flute what was visible through the loading port. That way everything would function smoothly while cycling the bolt.:D:D

Thanks for pointing that out Stan. A very good point to remember about straight flutes on a bolt. The bolt will rotate like you are running over speed bumps. An option that is best left to a single shot action.:);)
