Torquing a mauser barrel, Inner C ring or face?

Springfield barrels were good, plentiful and cheap. FN threaded their actions for them as well as the standard large ring Mauser threads. Firearms International used Springfield barrels on their .30 cal. rifles, even had one in .300 Win. Mag. with a 22 1/2" barrel ( all they could manage by cutting off the front sight slot). All these I took apart had Springfield threads in the receiver, but suppose they could have run low on ones with Springfield threads and simply made them work with Mauser threaded receivers as gat mentioned. I have an old Williams catalog where it lists FN actions with a choice of Mauser or Springfield threads, so they weren't made just for Winslow or FI.

But not many other actions ever copied this particular design feature of the mauser rifle .

I do not know how many countries made 03 Springfields; there is a chance there was only one country, and then there was the British 303, but when it came to the Mauser many countries made them and somehow they managed to hit both contact points with a slight crush.

Reminds me of the H&H belted chamber. the rifles were built with a belted chamber and total disregard for the shoulder in the chamber.

I have Mausers with Springfield bolts, when the experts talk about them they always mention 'cottage industry'.
