Shot my 1st F-T/R match today...

Lots of firsts for me today. Shot my first F-T/R match at Old Fort Gun Club in Ft. Smith, AR. First time out with my .308. First match with my hand loads. Interesting process at OFGC. Shooting 300 yards blind on MR63C targets. 594 - 25x including my first ever clean 200 - 14x. Lost to a good friend by a single point so I suppose I was the first loser. All in all a very good day.

The tuff thing about Fort Smith is, no pits. You shoot your 20 shots for score, go and pull your target. Then it is scored. No feed back from the pits. You have not idea how you are doing, no one can see a hole in the black. Great job!! But I guess if a guy has a body shop, he better have a slick painted firearm...

Wow!
That is a big step up from what you shot and the way you were talking in November.
Sandbagger.
I thought we were on the same level now I want your autograph!

Excellent shooting, beautiful rifle. At Tallahassee Gun Club when we shoot the 300 f/class shoot there it is ran the same way. You shoot your target walk up and score. You can drive if you want. What they do behind every target they post a bigger piece of white coraplast board about a foot behind the target for seeing your bullet holes, this works very well. I shoot a .223 and have no problems seeing my bullet holes.

Thanks! Being in the body shop has it's advantages. :)

Quite the interesting process at Old Fort for sure. Really makes it tough when you can't see a single hit until you drive down there.

lol... This has certainly been a big step. Thankful for an understanding wife that lets me chase after these sorts of things.

Thanks. There is black insulation board as backers at Old Fort. Zero chance to see anything with the equipment that I own anyway.

Good shooting, great scores pretty much everyone. Must have been a good day to shoot with little to no wind.

Congrats on a job well done. Awesome scores. However you will now pay dearly for these misdeeds. You will be endlessly searching or more matches and attempting to shoot an entire match clean. This could possibly drive you insane. On a lighter note you will be in good company during this endeavor. Once again great job.

I think I was insane before I got here.
