That's the first time I've heard they don't like to be dialed much and tracking isn't good... I know my mark 4 sure tracks nice

The Mark 4 is good, it's the hunting scopes that don't track. VX-3, etc. Once you get over $1500, Leupold uses a better erector and calibrated screws.

My latest and mobestest. 40XBR in 22BR. It has easily extended my ground squirrel lethality out to the 300+ zone. The 24X fixed Leupold isn't quite right for what I need, but is OK for now.

Currently putting together a 20-222 that I hope will be ready for this spring. jd

My jealousy is unparalleled at the moment, i have this strange affinity for the 40XBR`s, that is one fine example.

This Ruger No.1 has been one of my favorites for over 20 years. It had been rebarreled to .225W before I bought it at a LGS in 95. Shot it about 4000 rounds at PD's for 14 years.

This pic is from May 09 in S.D. First time out after rebarrel to my .204 Wasp with Krieger 11" twist barrel. 634 yd PD with 40gr V-Max fireforming load at 4040 fps.

Here's another of mine -- my oldest, most faithful, and most used that I own. Model 43, 218 Bee. I've had it, or vice versa, for 40 years. Considering the many tens of thousands of rounds I've fired through it, it is a testimonial for having a mild cartridge like the Bee in your line-up. I'm thinking that this barrel may never wear out. It would take a fair sized truck to haul the varmints that this rifle has ushered to the other side.

It now sports a Leupold 3x9 that I got in the seventies for I believe $99 bucks. jd

Out to 300 yards, an ancient model 700BDL Remington Varmint Special in .223 Rem with the K12 Weaver scope that came on it. Beyond 300 yards, a single shot stainless barreled Savage model 112 in 220 Swift with a 20x Lyman All American off a friend's benchrest rifle when he upgraded his scope. We don't get that much 'chuck action beyond 300 yards around here, so the .223 gets more work than the Swift.

722/40XBR clone with Leupold 6-18, Contender 22K-Hornet with Weaver T10, Superior 22PPC with 24x Leupold, Hart EXP 2000 6BR in 40X stock, 6.5-20 EFR Leupold. Looking for a photo of my Swift which has duct tape on it...

I had the left No.3 on the table rebarreled with a .224 8" twist Shilen barrel to try for a 1000 yd PD. After two trips to Montana in 2012 and 13, 915 yds is my longest hit with 75gr A-Max at 3200 fps. It is my only long range varmint rifle, so its my favorite for that purpose and it has become my favorite for coyotes here in Indiana. It's chambered in my .219DW-PDK wildcat which uses a 1.900" long 30-30 case. The No.3 on the right is my second .204 Wasp with a PacNor barrel.

With squirrels being common in NE FL I favor an MS64 Anschutz with a fixed power Leopold 24x. I really like the idea of having a silencer and just might move in that direction. Given the chance to shoot critters at longer range I'd use my 6br and portable bench.

My two favorite.rifles would have to be my very early BDL 17rem 700 and my custom barreled 700 220 swift got to love the swift.they are a piece of art for varmints.

I shoot a Savage VLP with a Criterion 220 Swift, 12 twist. It has a love affair with the 64gr Berger Varmint and H414.

My 223 loves that 64 gr berger varmint, although they tend to be incredibly hard to find so lately i have just been running 55gr nost bt's ... might hunt some of the 64 gr's down online though as they did great job and shot incredible, although i am thinking of trying some 75 gr amax's, but not sure if my 1/9 twist will stabalize them.

Some nice hunting rigs, lets keep seeing them...

I don't hunt PD,s, so varmints to me are coyotes and crows. Favorite all time Ruger 77 ts, 220 Swift with Douglas barrel and either a 2.5x8 VariX 111, or same in 6.5x20. Now use my X7, 6 Dasher with Rock Creek 5R and 4x12 Redfield Rev olution. I use both for whitetails at times. Barlow
