How do you carry your SEB NEO?

Mine is on its way home, so I've got to start thinking of getting a case, adapted for it, I mean for such big weight.
It sould be nice to read your solutions for it.
Surely you will make very good suggestions to solve the problem.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Carry mine in a Pelican M2620. Jose, first of all my Seb Neo weights less than my Farley Coaxial II, 24lbs vs 28lbs. The Neo and the Farley are within an 1/8" of each other as far as width at their widest points, ( The Farley is actually a little smaller than what I said but the adjustment screw for the right side of the bag ears sticks out a bit and it makes it within the amount mentioned). The Neo is taller and that's the problem why I had to get the M2620. I can use the smaller Pelican M2450 for my Seb & Farley Coaxial, but I had to step up in case size for the Neo.

I don't have a NEO, but my rest is on a 3/4 inch aluminum plate. That makes it heavy so I use a wagon to take all my gear and gun to the line on one trip. Matt

This is another one I've seen used by shooters:

Model: 3SKB-2417MR

One guy used an oak board bolted into the case with the rest bolted to the board. He sold the rest here but evidently kept the case.

Regards.

By its handle. ;-) Someone had to say it... I leave/travel with my cart loaded and just leave it in the cart on a piece of wood so the feet don't damage the nylon.

Probably hard to find over there but there is an aluminum US Army night vision case that shows up in surplus stores and on Ebay that fits perfectly with about 1/4" of space in all directions. I glued a piece of 1/8" plywood to the bottom and rubber sheet on the sides and top and it works great. $30 delivered from Ebay. Originally held AN/AVS-6(V)1 goggles so the metal tag says.

Go to Lowes and for $50 you can get a heavy duty roll around "tool box". They work great as a range box. I keep my SEB Max and my rear bag in it. The box is plastic with a hinged lid, slide out handle and a tool tray.
Good luck

I place mine onto a hardwood "T"...then place all in the bottom of my Fold-It, or in the back of the Escape. Note how I carry my "joy stick", also.

In a pelican case like this

When i had a Neo i got a cheap small action packer box at Wall mart. Used short deck screws and drilled hole in a 2x4 to fit the legs on one end a piece at the other end with a hole to hold that leg, drilled and counter sunk screws from the bottom of the box to hold the 2x4's in place. the height is perfect, take the handle off wrap it in a towel input the lid on. just fits and the legs can not come out of the holes. Best part is water proof, molded in handles to carry and lock it closed you can even sit on it and for 25.00. I still have it send me your cell# and i can send pics....... jim

Thing is you can do your own thing and save some bucks, but God forbid what happened to me on the way home from a State shoot it was a good thing my rest and rifle was in 2 Pelican cases because if I had it in a cheap box or case just to transport it from here to there, it would of cost me way more to fix that rest, rifle and scope. Do yourself a favor, transport your stuff in the very best way that you can because you always say it would never happen to me and to that I say bullshit. You spend 1200 bucks for a rest and you put it in a box that you spent 50-100 bucks for? Doesn't make any sense. Spend the 250 and get yourself a real case. That's like spending 3 grand for a rifle and putting a 150 buck Tasco or Simmons on it.

Yes a cheap box but very strong and nothing rubs on the rest and the legs and the top which i had a 3" block in it. 250 dollar will sure buy a lot of components. I'm sure you should have stuff tied down you are hauling to prevent it from getting the passengers or tearing it up bouncing around..... jim

It was in the back of a pick-up with a cap on it. Who ties down stuff in the back of an enclosed bed.

Still needs tied down, that is what those things in the corners of the bed are for..... jim
I disagree. Tying down a pelican box in an enclosed bed of a pick-up truck with a cap on it is ridiculous. I'm not hauling around a motorcycle.

You do what you want, but paying big bucks for something, doesn't mean it's better. Tying it down is also a thieft deterrent, i know a guy that got gas and went in to pay and come out and the guns were gone.... jim

Wes,

In the picture above...

Do you have foam in the bottom of your case pictured?

If not, is there room for it?
