"new" ear plug technology?

Look like a fancy foamie with metal shaft to me. The vid showing installation is identical to inserting any compress foamie. But hey, a better mouse trap maybe.

I will order a set and see what happens ?

Will post after I receive them and test a the Range .
I had a pair of identical eat plugs while in the USMC. They had an aluminum core and soft outer plug. I lost them state side and never found a second pair like them.

Many years ago in the Border Patrol (before people gave a damn about protection) we used to just stick empty cartridge casings in our ears. They worked pretty well. I can still hear, anyway!

These look strikingly similar.

I used to shoot XTC with a guy that would stick empty 223 cases in his ears, in the pits anyway.

How would you hear range commands, or someone speaking, with your ears pluggedo_O Another design and product to take someones money. You can see more than one problem with that design.

@ ~ US $60 the GBP will have to drop quite a bit more for these to be attractive to me.

A box of Leight foamies from Grainger costs less; the last one I ordered I received two seasons ago, ought to last at least another.

I just bought a silicone versions of these. Not for earplugs, but for something else. I then converted them to earplugs and they work great actually. LOL.
LMAO:D I was serious when I posted that pic. The difference is rubber, rather than titanium, and neither one fits into your ear canal. They are also pennies per piece:p

It would work pretty much the same I suppose by making a metal plug to replace the aluminum baffle with the hole in it in a Protector ear plug.

Lots cheaper.

I did the same thing as a kid on the farm,
also used cigarette filters. Now at 68 can't hear squat ,just constant ringing.
For those with kids getting into the shooting sports please give them the best ear protecion available.

I think a 7" piece of 1/4 all thread with wing nuts and washers with various size o rings is the best .

Many here don't understand how important hearing protection is .

I'm curious as to what these do that foamies dont. As has been stated here I believe in diff thread, by a designer of hearing protection, you can't get past what the mastoid bone carries, 40 dB iirc.
I still ask, what does this hi tek looking thing do that a foamie won't at .8% of the price?

Foamies expand to fill your ear canal, allow you to hear, and help minimize damage. Custom molded plugs fill your ear canal, and offer the benefits of foamies. The latest and greatest moneymakers that sit at the opening of your ear canal can't and don't. Don't play games with your hearing. As your hearing diminishes, sound can be amplified, but it can't be recovered. The frequencies you lose are gone forever. I have a great deal of experience with hearing, or the lack thereof:(

Years ago I use to use plugs called Norton Sonic ear valves. Looked something like this. These are about $10 per pair
