Lodi F class Nationals ?

If and it's a big IF....how many rounds do you take to the F class Nationals if you shoot both mid and long range matches? How many additional if shoot the team matches?

Thanks again

I'm counting a minimum of 255 for mid range, and 235 for long range. That's only about 5 sighters for the unlimited strings. I would suggest bringing more.

The people that have gone to prior nationals...Do you reload between mid and long range matches or take 500 precision reloads with you? That's a lot of neck turning cases !! Currently I only have 300 pieces of prepped brass that I shoot. Some has 3 firings and some once fired.

Between the practice to confirm zeros(20-40 rounds), 3 days of matches(200ish) and a team match(44), I'm bringing 300 rounds to be on the safe side. I'm just shooting mid range though.

I have separate rifles for mid and long range. With 300 pcs brass for mid range rifle, and 500 pcs for long range rifle. If I'm traveling for a match, I always have rounds loaded ahead of time. I don't want to deal with loading on the road. Funny thing is that I currently live only a few miles from Lodi range, but will be moving before the match. I will have to travel also.

Rmist,
As I wrote before, “Only you can know the number of sighters you will use.” Even then you may not be able to figure accurately how many rounds you will need. I always take too many. I would rather bring ammo home than not have the rounds I need for a shoot off or to pin down my zeros. Examples, I was in a 66 rounds shoot off once and the first string of the last day of last year’s LR FCN’s I fired 21 sighters trying to nail down what the wind was doing. With the practice days and team matches my plan is to take 326 for the 2016 MR and 264 for the LR Nat’s. See you in Lodi.

How far are you moving Keith?

Like Lbart already said, you can't have too many and you can always use the extras when you get back home.

Also, with the implementation of electronic targets, you may find yourself shooting a few more rounds!

Thanks everyone for the information and help. Hopefully I'll be able to make it. At least maybe for the mid range.
