Unbelievable deal on 50-gr Speer TNT

The "topic" is "Unbelievable deal on 50-gr Speer TNT". But you knew that.

Hey, here ya go: Midsouth will ship the 1000 to you for only $13.71! Now those chaps aren't trying to fleece the poor consumer.

(But you will have to make a concession on the price of the bullets at $133, but small price to pay to punish these gougers Wideners, hey?)

I'm about as big a tightwad as there is, but I think our lives are pretty "easy peazzy", when with a few key strokes on my lap top, from the comfort of my recliner, I can order up the exact bullet I love, at a lower cost than I can get it at Sportsmans Warehouse, and a few days later it will show up on my front porch.

I live twenty miles from anywhere, and the fact that ten or even twenty bucks will get the truck in my driveway, is pretty amazing.

I may be biased in my opinion, because I am a delivery truck driver, (lumber, block, building materials), and my deliveries cost a minimum of fitty bucks to go up to twenty miles. After that twenty, it's a buck a loaded mile. jd

Don't understand complaints about shipping (or tax for that matter, even though they don't charge you out of state in most cases, you are legally bound by the tax code to send it in on your own but few ever do), keep a want/need list, consolidate orders, one box of anything isn't efficient use of shipping money. People complain about the price of a box of 100 at the local store when in reality for single item small purchases its usually more cost effective especially if it doesn't require a special trip.

So true. I was able to lean back in my chair and order. Hardest part was getting up and getting the card from the reloading room. beats driving there, walking in, talking to some sales person, carrying them out, driving home...and besides, the local gunshop here is charging 28 dollars per hundred of NOS cup n core 6mm...soon NY will be stuck becasue we won't be able to buy via the net. So we will all make friends with people in PA!

I ordered 500 70gr vlds from mile high and the shipping was over $23! That's just the price you gotta pay sometimes. Everyone else was out and it was a bad to have kinda thing so my son would have a good load to shoot for our next match.

The deal on the tnts is really good. And shipping really isn't that bad when you consider, fuel there and back and tax, when you would buy from sportsmans or cabelas. That's if they were in stock and on sale.

You guys sound like a buncha service rifle shooters bitchin about the price of surplus ammo that used to be free. If you can't afford $19 in shipping on enough bullets to wear out 50% to 75% of the life of a barrel then you are probably in the wrong hobby.

Also, Winders may not have the same deal with the shipping companies that Mid-South has, their cost may be higher.

God, I wish! My retirement plan is to quit work at noon on the day that I die.

I do know one retired mailman. He's almost ninety years old and been retired for about forty years. jd

I retired at 50, two years ago. But then on the other hand I lived three lifetimes (and eight cat lives) in those twenty years of my career, and ended it with four screws, two pins, an azz ache and no mobility, but dang, it has been good to be Mr Mom for the last few years and let the world handle its own problems! And no, I did NOT carry the mail, though I made a delivery once.

Sounds like you were the sharp end of the "policy by other means" spear.

UPS just sent me a love note saying my 8 pound package will come tomorrow. So I guess I will see it Tuesday....
But I am happy..

Doubtful...sometimes I am just a hoarder. I have 1000 Z max, now these, and shoot about 200 a year, so I bet these will get given away as gifts or inheritance.

I think it comes from asking my parents for ammo every year and what they thought was sufficient (50 22's at Christmas and 25 16 ga for birthday, plus enough socks and underwear to supply Pattons army) and what I wanted, nay, NEEDED were so divergent. So now I am still confused about needs and wants, and I blame my parents.
OMG i am sounding like a lib!
