Well, I know Roger & I enjoyed it when we attended. You had a whole lot to do with that.

How many attend and how many become regular shooters? On average.

We limit it to 24 shooters two per instructor. Alos we have 12 benches so every instrutor has a bench to use. Used to be 3 per instructor but it was hard on the instructors and equipment and it was hard giving the attention needed. We currently have about 10 to 12 regular shooters that came out of past schools. I am sure that some shoot at other clubs and other disciplines. I know some that shoot some of the Midwest clubs have been to school. They come as far as Alaska and California. Pretty much from all over the country so it is hard to know what they All do afterwards. Some come just to be able to experience shooting a gun at 1000 yards. Kind of a bucket list thing. I do know if they pay attention, take notes, it would take years and lots of money to learn what is available. Matt

I was there for the second time, became a member of the club after last year's school and came early on Thursday to get some shooting in beforehand. Can't say anything but great things about the club, the facility, the guys that I have met there. Would have stayed after the end and shot some more if it hadn't been for the nasty weather that came about when the school was ending. I shoot short range BR at home, but intend to get back out to Williamsport more this season.

We past around a questionnaire at the end of the school this year to ask what everyone thought or if there were any other areas that should have been covered. I was told there were no negative reports. I myself tried something different this year, I prepped a lot of brass ahead of time and also had enough loaded to allow my two students to shoot a lot more and I think they really understood what I was trying to accomplish. I told them that when I start shooting in April I have to learn all over again how to shoot after the long winter. They both shot very well and Ed won his relay with a 4" group with a 47 score. four of his shots were in 2"! ( Matt how was that for a light gun with a Block?) I really think if that was a H.G. match with those conditions the record would have been broken. I wish we could hold two schools a year but its a lot of work and hard to get instructors to put in that much time.
Oh and I would like to thank Eric and Ray for all the work they did like getting thing printed out for the students.

I went up with my good hunting buddy Mark, his son and his son's buddy. They all had a blast. Mark shot low group, a little over three inches and had four in a tight group around 5/8 of an inch. Pretty good or a schoolboy. Not up on the record book rules but it was said it could have been some sort of a record if the first shot would have been in the tight group. Conditions were ideal and I agree with Joe. It was a perfect day for a record breaker.

I was there with my dad and tn noshooter. We learned a lot but the biggest thing we learned was how much more there was to learn. I listen to several other coaches and each seemed to be teaching different aspects of reloading. My coach taught neck turning on virgin brass, using a balance and bullet seating. I wish we could have spent some time with each coach to get additional instruction and hands on experience with proper reloading techniques. I would highly recommend this school for beginners.

264wm70 Thank you for saying nice things about the school, and yes you can definitely learn more if you had time with more of the teachers. But once you understand the basics you can try different things on your own, just stay away from high pressures and trying to make your loads go fast. That is not were the accuracy is! And there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum that can help if you have a problem. Good luck in what you do.
