What makes a Great F-Class Stock.
Perfectly stress free bedded
Designed to track perfect with no torque
And beautiful comes in handy
A long fore arm stock will help balance out the rifles 30"+ barrel while riding in a good set of bags.
That sounds like an ad I read in the personal classifieds this weekend.
Portholes!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta have that Roadmaster look.
A good stock comes with some nice looking wood.
Dark Red Cheery or White / Tinge Birds Eye Maple,,, Yum Yum
A GREAT F Class stock for open
McMillan Fiberglass Stock!
Just ask Norm Harrold!!!
What makes a good F open stock is a good F open shooter. Call Will at Cerus. Pay your money and wait on what is perhaps the straightest, strongest and best looking stock on the market. I have a Mcmillan and Cerus. There is no comparison, the Cerus is much better.
I'm thinking a MPA Hybrid.
What makes a great F-Open stock?
There are a lot of things.
It tracks straight and lets you watch the trace to the target.
It repeats shot after shot and forgives rifle handling variations.
It allows you to balance the rifle with a truck axle barrel.
It doesn't change when it rains.
It allows you to tune the rifle.
It has enough adjustability to allow you to adjust it to your shooting style.
It doesn't contribute to the shooter's fatigue.
It allows the barrel to cool.
Oh, for anyone interested, I have a beautiful Cirus F-TR stock that I'd be happy to make you the proud owner of if you don't want to wait to get one. Finished by Alex Wheeler. And I might add, he did a beautiful job.
Does it have an inlet? If so what is it cut for?
Defiance Deviant. Remington footprint.
The one you can't afford
Pm sent an hour ago thanks
Terry, How long are the Hammer Head Stocks that you like? Does it help balance the Rig?
I think so.
The barrel need to be as close to the bags as possible and in my opinion the forearm (where the bag rides) needs a certain amount flex
Id like to see a manners composite version of Cerus f class stocks. Id buy one quickly.
It already exists. It’s called the McMillan XIT...
