The 2019 season is almost here. For those that do not know, the 1000 yard Benchrest club located at the Deep Creek range in Missoula Montana has a club rifle that we offer to new shooters that are thinking about trying the sport. We will load the ammo, bring the rests, and all other equipment needed to shoot the 2 match weekend. We'll also have someone near you walking you through every part of the event if you need it. This is a great way to try the sport to see if its for you or not. And meet some of the sports best shooters. The rifle is built with the best components donated from the best manufactures in the industry. Glenn Kulzer keeps it tuned very well, in fact it was was of the top agging rifles on the line last year. Back when I was shooting on the main range I did it almost every time
I hooked over half of the shooter we had at the time

I will try an find a action and I will barrel it an stock it and ask the club's to try an find glass for it I don't have problem getting assistance to load for it an have it at the matches available to a new shooter Thanks again for the idea Alex.

Would love to shoot there at least once. The Bench Rest School at Williamsport, Original PA 1000 Yard BR Club, is a great way to try out the sport, but it is not free.

Well, I guess its not totally free, you have to get here. But it beats buying a rifle only to find out BR is not your thing. This club rifle is not for sale, so if a guy decides he wants to get into BR theres plenty of good smiths out there or better yet a used rifle may be found.

As quick as technology changes in BR the club gun might be obsolete next year.
BTW I'm reviewing my spring schedule in the next couple weeks, I have to run a load over to Libby so if time permits I'll be in touch.

Great opportunity that I took advantage of in June last season. Thanks to Alex, Glen & the whole Montana club. New rifle coming and I'll be ready to shoot the whole series this coming spring.

I would encourage anyone interested in 1000 yard BR to take advantage of this opportunity. I learned more from Glen in a couple hours than I figured out on my own in a couple months.
