Only interested in the higher quality offerings so:
    1) What are the names given to the upper two quality levels?

    2) How do they stack up against the Sightron IIIs and the NF BRs? Realizing the "bang for the buck" comes into play. . .

There is only one in that realm, the Golden Eagle. I’ve about replaced all my NF BR’s with them. I’ve got nothing but positive things to say about them.

I got an LE discount on both of my Golden Eagles. Having said that, I've owned a Sightron SIII and while a capable scope, it's not in the same ballpark as the GE. Most of my friends use either NF Comps or March scopes so I got to try a couple of different options before I made my choice. I prefer the GE over the NF Comps and the only March I would take over the GE is a Highmaster after having tried one earlier in the year. Twice the price for the privilege though and I doubt it would make me a better shooter.

    1) Vortex Golden Eagle HD 15-60x52.

    2) Stacks up pretty well.

In the tactical shooting sports the Razor is highly regarded.

That's another thing to consider, Vortex have certainly done themselves no harm since introducing the Gen 2 Razor, hard to find negative reviews on that line of scope.
