UPS Tracking?

Can anyone offer any experience or thoughts on this? I have a Cooper going to my FFL. It is part way there. Until about Saturday or so, the tracking was normal with a projected delivery of Tuesday. At some point not long ago, the "Scheduled Delivery Date:" went to "Information unavailable". The package progress remains the same, though. No scans have been shown in a while.

I think its just typical UPS. The closer we get to the holidays, the worse it will get.

I had that happen with a shipment once and I called the postmaster here and he gave me the scoop on what was happening .

OP asked about UPS, not USPS.

From my experience UPS tracking's generally been up to date with minor 'delivery exceptions' putting arrival a day later than originally scheduled.

USPS is reliably non-current, at least until
my parcel has been delivered. THEN it usually is pretty quick to reflect that in tracking.

Whichever carrier you used, give it another business day to catch up. If nothing improves by then, pick up the phone & call the appropriate number.

It is like my tracking was "unupdated" from during the week. I had a scheduled delivery date, now, suddenly, none.

FWIW, I bought a $229 tool from Sinclair in late Oct that was shipped via USPS on Oct 27th. From day one, when I'd enter the "tracking number" in USPS Tracking, it kept coming back "Tracking Unavailable." It did that every stinkin day I checked for an update until the item arrived yesterday. I gotta believe that USPS Tracking is often a crap shoot and there are too many items trying to be tracked for their system to actually keep up. But then, we continually hear horror stories about USPS (and others) so keep the faith AND your receipts.

I went thru this about 2 mouths ago. It did make it to FFL and all was good.
I only use Fed-X Now..................

UPS does not move on the weekend. Once it arrives at a site on Friday you will not see any further tracking until Monday. Same for FEDX. USPS is and has always been sketchy at best. I try not to have anything shipped to me by them. Just not dependable. I've had zero issues with UPS or FEDX over many years.

The tracking numbers are not upgraded on weekends. Because the package could be still be on the road or sitting on a train and no update until that trailer gets to a building's yard..So give it another day or 2 for tracking to show up...

Hopefully it is already delivered by then. The first tracking results showed delivery on Tuesday, now "information unavailable".
