I spoke with Jack yesterday, good guy.

Forgot to ask if these actions will feed from AW / AICS mags reliably? I sent a couple emails but have not received a reply yet.

Also, I had asked him about getting 2 bolts for a long action, standard and magnum, he said YES, that is an option!

Do you make these with a .223 bolt face?

One more curious about AICS mag feeding. Also, what are the differences between the hunter and tactical actions?

From what I gathered during our conversation, there was no real difference between "standard" and "tactical" actions but I could be wrong. Give Jack a call, he will answer any questions you have.

So there’s multiple threads on this action floating around. It says the same things in the other threads. But guys in those threads starting receiving them. In those post their initial impressions were positive.

I need one with a .223 bolt face!!

Anyone know if these have the exact same threads, headspace and breach as a Remington 700?

yes they do, they are 1-1/16" 16tpi the counter bore needs to be opened to .740" for the extractor to be able to open around the rim.

I have a trigger on the way there. I'm an hour away from his shop so I'll be able to pick it up once the trigger is timed and he tells me it's ready.

OK Fellas, got mine in last night... LA magnum, ceracoat black with the standard 2 piece scope mounts. The action with all accessories and no trigger came in just under 2lbs. not bad. very smooth, ceracoat was done very well. pinned my triggertech trigger to it and mounted in in a stock, very slick action, no binding. NICE. don't think it's in the description, but the bolt handle is also threaded so you can remove the one that's on it and put something a little bigger, that's what I'm doing. Overall, very impressed, especially for $500. Would LOVE to get a short action mag left hand repeater, but I'll wait for the unicorn to deliver it.

since its controlled round feed and the rounds slide up under the the extractor rather than the extractor clipping over the rim, shouldn't the counter bore be the same provided the bolt nose diameter is the same?
