Looks like I will be adding a new 17 Hmr to the arsenal!
Me too.... but thinking I will need 2: both the 17HMR & 22LR
I love 22s. I need so many!! Can you have too many Rimfires?
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these especially since they have the same footprint as a normal T3. I don't care how good that Tupperware stock is it will never be as pretty as their walnut stocks.
Will be getting one in 22lr.
Is the footprint such that you could use an Eliseo stock with it? What about triggers?
No idea on that. The article on the daily bulletin yesterday just said it has the same foot print as the T3 so stocks for the T3 could be used. I would assume that yes they could be used in an Eliseo stock but we won't know for sure until someone tries it.
The tikka rimfire has the same action footprint and trigger as the tikka t3.
You should be able to use any aftermarket stock that uses the original tikka trigger guard.
I think there will be a problem with the chassis type stocks that use aics magazines but I'm sure the manufacturers will sort that at some stage.
The rifle that went onto my must have list for 2018. Can’t wait to put a few bricks through one.
Here is a video of the T1x
Definitely gonna be my next toy as soon as they are available!!
Looks like a winner. Love their smooth actions, that video has me looking forward to their release.
Does anybody know if the barrels on these T1s are threaded or pinned? I've been on their website and it doesn't say one way or the other.
This came from one of the members on RFC that is at Shot show - "The Tikka Barrel is screwed into the action, hammer forged barrels"
Looks like a lot of thought went into this, like the idea of the everything fits with the center fire. Liked it so much I already pre ordered 2 of them.
As soon as I see one of these fitting into a KRG Bravo chassis with a working magazine I'll be all over it.
Bet it won't outshoot my 77/22 accurized by Randy at Connecticut Precision Chambering (and glass bedded by myself.) But I want one!
What, no 22 WMR? They need to chamber for 22 Mag.
This is off Tikka's website! Don't know if this means we will see the Mach2 or 22 Mag or not.
The review of the prototype I read only mentioned 22 LR and 17 HMR. And those are the only chamberings listed here:
But it only makes sense they wouldn't limit it to just those two, going forward. 22 WMR is still hugely popular, even if it gets little attention from the pundits, what with all the 17s to write about.
