If you're interested in WHY minute changes in load density or seating depth oft times constitute amazing changes in group dispersion....this is a good read: http://www.the-long-family.com/shock%20wave%20theory%20summary%20explanation.pdf

I found the endeavor to be most enlightening. Since my training in physics was 50 years ago and only one years worth at that, I was a bit overwhelmed with the intricacies of all the calculations BUT his premise and resulting conclusions did seem valid. I will leave the dissection of the finer points to those more skilled in the realm of higher mathematical calculations but it does make a worthy addition to the quest for loading a truly accurate round quickly. I have finished reading this and have a question: Does one have to have, what is it, "Quick Load" to determine barrel time. This person's formula lets one figure out the optimum barrel time for a barrel length but how does a person load to get to that time? I hope my question is clear to those of you reading it.
