Questions,,#1-can the deer jump over your trap, I got 10 or 12 regulars. #2-just what the hell am I going to do with 8 or 10 DEAD pigs at one time,,and most important
#3-where is the excuse to give your wife to get out of the house in the middle of the night. I got to get me a trap door I know.

1) Mature deer can easily jump out as the panels are only 5' tall. Fawns can be a different story. I have only caught one and was able to free him before he beat himself silly trying to get out. The key to not catching deer is using a trigger that only the hogs will trip.

2) Sausage, sausage and more sausage. I've caught close to 100 hogs in the last year or so. I butcher the "eating sized" ones and give most of it away to family and neighbors. Every now and then, we'll toss a couple of whole ones on the smoker. The ones that smell "off", as well as the big ones, feed the buzzards and coyotes.

3) Just like shooting them, you can always check traps in the middle of the night.
