Wait a minute... so it's not just marketing? It's true?
The only thing that could make the Creed better will be necking it up to 277. It will be the death of the 270 Winchester! It's a shame that it flopped as a .30!
I will write that on the forehead of my bag and wear it proudly to every meeting. LOL
I was under the impression that the flyer in any grouping was called a fouling shot. No one has to know in what order the shots were taken. I'm still a rookie with a new 6.5 CM, but at least I know that much.
The creedmoor got its legendary status by the testers throwing out the worst shot of every group. I posted a picture of it here not long ago. Best 4 out of 5 was still bigger than most other calibers where all counted. Fake news
I still want some of what YA'LL ARE DRINKING !
If anyone out there wants to teach me how to handload, I'll teach you how to homebrew.
I have been helping my Father home brew for 55 years. Where are you located ?
I've pondered that. However the 6.5 bullets by design have good BC. A case with the capacity of a creedmoor having a decent amount less then the 270 win, and given the available bullets at this time, it wouldn't be too much a game changer in .277. You'd probably be stuck shooting bullets in the 120-130 range in .277 which wouldn't compete with the BC of the 6.5 140s not to mention the 270creed would probably still be a 1:10 twist just because of bullet selection.. Even the 270wsm has trouble keeping up with the win and it's got a larger case capacity but with the case design that's so popular. I'd love to hear about custom 270wsms designed to shoot the 170 hybrids, I think that would be a worthy 270 variant to compare to the 6.5 creedmoor. It's a dang bullet problem, would need some sort of huge product roll out to happen.
Well hey, I think 270WinDude might be on something there......
after reading this thread I needed a drink!
You've been home brewing for 55 years? Nice! I'm in Eastern Washington State. The best hops in the world is grown out here. Pretty good barley too.
Barley n hops, thats what thier calling it these days?
A little tough helping with Hands on reloading help. I'm in Arizona.
LOL! Thank you for the comic relief.
I fear that I have hijacked this thread. Let's get back to the CM bashing. Can't wait for my novice skills to show-up an experienced 30-06 shooter. Now, where's my beer and popcorn?
I don't have a creed but can I join the club if use white out
and paint creed on my 243.
If I put creed on my shotgun can I kill ducks farther too.
Like twice as far.
The club has a rolling membership. The talisman can only be owned for a short time and must be forwarded to another person for initiation in to the club. A selfie with it worn must be taken and posted. Bags are optional but please no X-rated selfies. This is supposed to be a family friendly site.
Mine is on it's way to another Creedmore adherent.
You know as a gun store owner, 6.5 CM has sold ammo and guns for me. I can't complain about the interest being a small shop. I do like to pop in to my range summer afternoons and shoot a 3/4 inch 5 shot group at 300 in front of some young fellows, with full sleeves, and 511 pants that bought factory ammo because it says precision on the box. I'll admit that but never say sh&t about it. Just leave the target hanging and tell the boys they can shoot the rest of the diamonds. Doesn't matter what I'm shooting, as long as I do it on occasion. Street cred is priceless. 260 AI talisman is deer bones
Overalls are the new tactical wear - hell yeah!
