Added a few more to the list. The 12-42 nxs is the second scope to hold rock solid. The last test was a comp scope, but I didn't fire the rifle, I fired a 44 magnum next to the scopes. It moved but settled in after the first shot. The aim point for the Leupold was the far left dot. I'm on my phone and will clean this up when I get home, most of you know how the test was performed

I strongly disagree. If Alex stops testing them then I would start testing and posting the results which I hope to be doing soon enough. I could care less who it pisses off. If we want to get advancements in products that we pay thousands of dollars for then there needs to be failures and a learning curve for everyone involved, shooters and manufactures.

    I personally totally disagree.....

Am in hopes such results serve as wake-up's to the mfg's, and for them to strive to make and do better.
Good and bad publicity is what it takes -IMO.

Exactly Donovan. If they don't get "real world" feedback, they may never know.. Now they will..

This is valuable information. He's presenting the data he has collected. He isn't making any judgement one way or the other.

I own 3 scopes; 2 NF and 1 March. I'm in the market for a 4th. It sure as hell won't be a certain one of the brands I currently own. I wish that company would wake up and realize their zipper is down and do something constructive to fix the problem.

He should have added a smiley face if that was the case.
Because I didn't take it that way.

I think Alex is doing everyone a great service and gave everyone a wakeup call.

Surprised how well the Sightrons are doing. I bought a NF comp to replace a Sightron but can't bring myself to swap them. Its a prone gun and doesn't really matter but I will always be wondering about the NF.
    Thanks for testing Alex.

It make you wonder whats on the inside of those scopes and what it takes to make them work.

I really appreciate data vs opinion.

One question I thought of was how do you separate errors caused by the scope vs errors introduced by rings, mounts , bases and some other factors?
