What sacrifices do you make to feed your shooting addiction? Recently I asked my wife if I could take her car to the range. She asked what's wrong with my truck. I said the a/c is broken. She said just go fix it you have the money. I almost blurted out how much I had just spent on components. That was a close one. My truck is a 1993 Chevy 2500 with over 200k. I spend the bare minimum on it. Just enough to keep it running. If I don't do something soon I'll be taking a taxi to the range. Then she'll know the jigs up.

I go to drinking blended scotch instead of good single malt scotch during the F-Class season.

I eat $1.19 HEB bologna instead of $8 per pound Boarshead Ham.

It all ends up in the same place anyway.

Did you mention to her, how much she’s costing you? I thought not.

Even worse I have resorted to cheap Tequila, the lime juice drowns out the flavor. Saving my JWB to celebrate my next win, it appears to be ageing well.

I gave up just about everything shooting constantly, I’ve been pulling back on the reins some the last year or so to regroup.

    In da chitter?
I worked with a retired Naval Commander decades ago, crusty old fart. We'd go to lunch at a restaurant where he would start with his dessert first and then eat the rest. I gave him a quizzical look one day to which he replied "it all makes a turd".

Not being married, all my money is mine, all my time is mine, I don't chase women (don't go there gents!), I don't drink and I don't do drugs. Shooting IS my drug of choice.

In the past three weeks I've really gone overboard. I've reloaded approximately 3,000 rounds of 9mm, 40S&W, 38 Special and 45ACP. I've got enough reloading materials to reload another 2,000-3,000 rounds. It all started when I purchased reloading material to reload 500 rounds for my 270WSM to practice this summer to get ready for a hunt this October. Once I started reloading for my rifle I said the hell with it, If I'm going to be going to the range to practice with my rifle, I might as well bring along one or two pistols as well. One thing led to another. The bank account has taken a beating. Like PatMiles, I'm not married and don't chase women so my drug sof choice are shooting and hunting.

My 2008 Chevy Pickup which I bought new has 100,000 miles on it and my plan is to run it for another 100,000.

I have gone without food, sleep and probably sex! It's an addiction, for sure. All things in moderation, though...I'm not starving, I slept last night and sex...Well. I won't complain there either. I don't think it'd help and might hurt! Not the sex....I ain't skeered of that!:po_O

    LOL, You are correct
You can slice it thick or you can slice it thin, it's still bologna.
Boarshead bologna smoked or BBQ'd in the skillet is the bomb and the only way I will eat it, but that would only be if I ran out of Venison

During the summertime, which is hot here in Arizona, I shoot only 2 x 20 + Sighters instead of 3 x 20 + Sighters like in the fall, winter and spring! I am almost in vapor-lock!
