With the variety of rimfire disciplines, from cowboy action to Olympic level three-position, there are a host of different rimfire designs on the market. These may shoot the same ammo, but they certainly vary in looks and ergonomics. This is testimony to human creativity. I'll start this picture thread off with two very different guns.

The first is a FR Gemini 703 from HPS Target Rifles Ltd. in England. As shown below, fitted with Anschutz 54 match action), it is a 50m smallbore "free rifle". However, it is designed so that you can switch in a centerfire action, most commonly 6mmBR) for 300m matches. With an adjustable handgrip, it's wild looking to say the least. HPS calls this an "An unashamed ISSF derived stock for both 50m smallbore and 300m fullbore shooting."

The next gun is likewise accurate, but designed to shoot from the bench. The proud owner is David "Stump" Newsom. Rifle is a LB/RP Turbo built by Bill Calfee. FUDD Tuner is by Scott Hamilton. Stock is McMillan Edge painted '04 Cadillac Escalade Pearl White w/ silver flames. Trigger is 1.4 ounce Jewell. Scope is Leupold 36x mounted in BKL rings atop Davidson bases. Barrel by Douglas. Gun weighs in at < 10.5 lbs. The handsome rest was crafted by Laymon Loggins.,Photo courtesy of our friends the UK Assn. of Rimfire Benchrest Shooting. Check out their site, Benchrest22.org, it has lots of interesting info, plus free targets.)

Three generations of my family have used this good old Win 52 and the equally old 20x Lyman. Nice old rifle that I still enjoy shooting.

Gary, nice job. But you need to build a repeater. That way us Tubb shooters will have a rimfire to practice with indoors.

    Richard,
Thanks, there's been lots of intrest among the T2K shooters on it, mainly as a prone gun, have had a few requests about a repeater, have to wait and see.

    DR,

That's a handsome m12. I have one of those also, acquired from the CMP. It's a shooter, and the bolt is super-smooth.

What's the story on the scope rail?--looks like a very nice installation.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. The scope base/rail is made by Ken Viani:

That is a great looking scope base! I see he makes one for my Win 52 also... Nice. Any drilling and tapping required or does it fit factory holes?

    Thanks, Guy

    Guy,

The Viani base mounts at the rear barrel base holes and the receiver base,Redfield base) holes. No drilling or tapping is required. The pic on the link really dose not do justice to the finished product.

I like the H&R 12 and the Model 52. Those are some nice groups from that 52. I have several 22 & 22 mag but not quite in this league. But I wouldn't trade what I got. I am now cleaning my Marlin 783 22 mag. Shoots 5/8" groups at 100yd. My best shooting 22 is a Remington 341, no scope use it along all with my other 22's at Boy Scouts. Every kid that shoots it puts the 3 shots under at quarter at 25 ft.
My Walthar Comp pellet rifle will out shoot anything I have at 20 yds. But that's a horse of a different color, probably out shoot all those nice 22's also.

Anschutz 1411 prone rifle. I replaced the hooked buttplate with a rubber unit, as the hook prevents the rifle from nesting in as close to the neck as I like it. It also lost the Anschutz rear sight in favor of the much more familiar REG E5D.

With ammo that it likes,Wolf Match Extra) it is capable of very nice scores:

This is just a "fun gun" not a serious competition piece. It is a Savage MkII in a new homemade stock. I have worked on the trigger and polished the crown. It will shoot 5/8 inch groups at 50 yards,5 shots) with cheap ammo it likes.

I just scored this Savage / Anschutz off Guns America. I will post some better pics when it gets here. I want to use it for BR practice at home and at the range.

Here is a CZ 452-2E-ZKM with a Military Yougo Mauser stock I did for a friend,He's on the pict with the rifle). With some inletting and work on the trigger guard the adaptation is almost perfect.
It's a rifle for plinking but it can make really good group shooting as the barrel's fully freefloat. The only modification to the CZ, the tang of the receiver which is drill and tap for the screw of the Mauser stock.
    Love this little rifle...

It's an Anschutz 2013 BR50. The stock is factory, barrel is a Benchmark, tuner is a Fudd and the butt is 3# of copper. She's my favorite rifle.
