I found a bit of info. The action might be made by him. He manufactured his own guns.
Thanks JRS someone mentioned that it may be a Phoenix action from that period.
If you'll send the photos to Glen Harrison, he can tell you whether he produced the action. He made actions for a number of companies, but branded differently.
That bolt looks like a Geske
Thanks Alex that could be a good possibly too.
The bo lt looks like my buddies Geske. Is it a 3 lug? Matt
Yes it is
I shot with Kenny back in the early 90's at Williamsport and in Carolina later. Anything he had was TOP NOTCH and yes that was one of Jerry Geske 3 lug actions. We both shot his actions a lot back then. Very good action. Do know Kenny had a round with cancer but thought he beat it, sure hope so.
Thanks very very much Bill Clears up a lot of questions
Bill, Kenny had a big fire, heard he lost almost everything. Last he shot at Williamsport was a couple years ago. I know he wasnt feeling good. He told me be thought his cancer was back. His wife died of cancer and right after he quit shooting. I talked to him on the phone a couple years ago. That is when he told me about the fire. He didn't say anything about his health though. Matt
As others have stated, it appears to be a Geske. I have one, and it is quite a piece. Here's a link to some info by Dan Lilja:
I would like to take a minute to thank everyone for all there help and input on this gun and also all the PM's with additional help. It's appreciated much.
