Helping a friend sell some rifles. A mutual friend of ours passed away last year and this is a part of his collection. Some of you may have also seen the post from Smokin250 with the gun collection for sale, this rifle is part of that collection as well. I will try my best to describe this rifle and its condition.

Remington 700 chambered in 6mm BR, ER shaw stainless fluted barrel, I believe its 26", not sure of twist. The action seems to have a little more wear than the barrel, I am not sure of round count on the barrel, but knowing our friend I dont think he shot this rifle much. I know that he had it put together but I'm not sure who did the work. It comes outfitted with a Weaver fixed 24x scope with fine crosshair resticle. He is asking $1,000 on this setup. Hopefully the pictures will help describe the rifle better than I can. PM with any questions and I will do my best to find the answers. Thanks for looking!

Its the older style, with the grooves on the blade.

Is the rifle still available, if so what is measurement at muzzle? Knowing the twist would help.

Have you tried the cleaning rod/patch method to determine the twist?
