Reloader 16 6x47L Promising

The numbers appear good and the target looks very good. I have a lot of H4350 for my 6×47L , but I will try something else if it works. It appears Re16 works for you.

My first ever 200. 21 shots here at 600 yards.

40.6 grains of Reloader 16, 105 Berger Hybrid, 2.045 BTO (.01 Jam), CCI BR4 Primer, 3246 fps average, SD 5.6 ES 19.

Slight click at top of bolt lift on a few of the shots. I'm going to go down just a little and see if I can get that to go away while maintaining the precision.

Today's effort. 200-15X, 6X47L IMG_3854.JPG Shot at 600 yards. 40.5 R16 105 Berger hybrid, cci br4 primer, 3252 fps average SD 5, ES 19 over 21 shots.

Not sure why the velocity when up a little when my load went down a little, but hard to argue with the results.

Am I reading this correctly???

Powder went down .1gr. and velocity dropped 194 fps.?????????

Sorry, typo. I fixed it.

Great, I was hoping it was a....

I`m extremely familiar with those...

Your rifle is truly fascinating, I just might have to give this chambering another look........Quick........:D

I'd suspect 40.5 is your optimum maximum charge weight. Seen it before, after maximum is reached (velocity), the numbers get weirded out. I'd suspect you drop to 40.1 and see what your vertical does. When developeing match loads, you may find that a well developed load that shoots well during load testing may not work well over a 6-8 Hr match. I'd suggest backing down further and test vertical again. Leaving 50-75fps on the table isn't gonna be noticeable on the target in said wind drift. But it may break you in vertical due to temperature change and humidity shift. If you shoot matches that last 6-8hrs, could be a game changer. Heck I'd be interested what 40.0grains does for ya..
Keep us posted

Today's effort. I like the fact that although I felt like I was sucking hind tit throughout the string, the score was still good. Struggled with vertical.

Must say the Labradar is an amazing tool. Shot a bad 9, was it me? Labradar made it very easy to see that the velocity of that shot was way out of normal range. Culled that piece of brass for next time.

Bullseye camera system also indispensable. Being able to see the result of each shot in real time, while shooting alone at a non pit-crew range is amazing. Makes practice just like match shooting (well without the nerves).

798 out of 800 with 48X's in 4 days in a row with 4 different loads. I'll take it. Looking forward to seeing if I can do it in competition

Thanks for the test results. Can you provide equipment info, twist rate, neck size, barrel contour, etc.?
