Here is a link to the Palma Alliance.

    https://lifeofashooterswife.com/palma-alliance/

My problem is, I would like to be one of the cool people, but still like to shoot my 6mm and 6.5s. And, I find it entertaining to troll Erud.:):):)

I have offered to donate $50 to U.S. Veterans Team if the Palma Alliance would let me put a sticker on my 6mm SLR. What would be a fair donation to allow me to break the rules?

    Marty,
Membership is not for sale, it can only be earned. The straight path is not for everyone.

Good luck to all of the members of the palma alliance at the long range matches.

IIRC the whole point of shooting Palma is that it's NOT a 6.5 wonder gun.

If I go down the Palma path, I'd want to make a case for the 223R/90 combo....

Correct. They have banded together to push each other. How can I help them improve? They are shooting at a more refined level than I do. It is my goal to push them by shooting a superior caliber (when allow by match rules) and/or use my scope to give them better competition.

I have been pushing Erud to make the Palma Alliance into a non profit. In retrospect it might be better to support "Palma Promotions" which supports the US national teams.

After trying that combo I want to as well. The 90s mirror the 155s for wind and elevation in my rifle with no clear advantage over them. Though the 80s share a similar BC they are less than ideal at 800-1000 yds..
That said, I will shoot what is specified for International Fullbore rules.

    Drew,
The .223 with 90's is definitely a worthy combo, but I'm afraid it would not pass Alliance muster. We don't currently have any .223 shooters signed up, but since ICFRA rules limit the .223 to sub-81 grains, we'd have to hold to that. We'd love to have you on board though, if you ever decide to walk the narrow path.

And Marty, you are no slouch shooter. You have shot plenty of 200's lately. Don't push those alliance Members too hard, they are fragile.......

You just can't be cool and still shoot 6mm. Or .223. Or 168 grain bullets. Can't be done. Anyone who tells you differently is selling you a sticker under false pretenses. ;)

    What about 175s that's about 20 grains cooler than a 155. Isn't it?

I bet if erud shot them they would be cool. Oh yea..... he can't

    Marty,
The PA roster is now at 40 members. Official logo Polo shirts, T-shirts and vinyl truck window stickers will be available shortly. Act like a man for once and join.

Why do some people have so much trouble with rule books? There are several "run whatcha brung" types of competition out there.

    Thanks Erud,
