Don't have any plans to shoot anything but my palma rifle in matches this summer. It would be nice to beat prince taco with a palma rifle. Hmmm.... that is a nice thought.

This thread made me think about going out and shooting irons but I realized that on 7 rifles plus 2 uppers I don't have a single functional set.

What do you need? We all have extra parts. Just remember you gwt to name your rifle, but you could end up with a name like Prince Taco.

LAST Wednesday?? It couldn’t have been more than maybe what, 20F?

We shot WGC’S Fullbore Fundraiser last year starting at 18F, I NEVER want to to do THAT again....

Hmmm... Warner? Nope, not in production, at least anytime soon. Phoenix, Centra, RPA?

30mm RightSight? Done. Scott Riles’ maybe, any others besides the 18 & 22mm?

I saw a #2 go for $600 a few days ago (if the asking price is what it sold for, with a Gehmann iris).

I'm not serious enough for that. I have shoulder problems that keep me from shooting decent sling anyway.
Maybe f-tr with irons just for variety.
Maybe shoot our monthly 'mini-palma' actual palma style once if I practice and think I can stay around the black.

I have 223 and 22lr ar's with gas block rails. Is rail mounted even considered a viable option?

And I thought I was weird for naming my Palma rifle “Cinnamon Girl”... shoot I feel normal compared to a Blue Taco Rifle. I also have an AR10 named after a Ram Jam song about a girl named Betty.

It was -15 in the morning, still about 0 when we shot. But nice to have a facility like MRC where you can be indoors shooting outdoors....

Good point Morgen, that is a great facility. The dedicated 300m range is awesome with the electronic targets. I have been shooting the international target for practice. The 9s show up a litle too often, but it is really making me focus on the trigger pull.

Party- I know you can bang out a 590+ on ISSF targets there. Nines are definitely easy to shoot! I always prefer to shoot a harder but ERUD loves X's.....

Thanks. It gives me a good goal for the winter shoots. I prefer making it tougher like the international target, but I see the other side as well. What ever it takes to be "good" practice.

Yeah, for me it just makes more sense to practice on the same target that I shoot all my matches on. I do occasionally stray onto the "Euro" target though, shot these last winter after much harassment from mgdietrich:

Edited to add: the 200-11x and the 595/600 were shot on 2 different days.

How many members are in the Palma Alliance now? Can I hold out for a good number?

John is right, any number in the Alliance is a good one. We are currently at 66 members.

Well, I’d need to do some calculations, but I do believe that would be the next available number. You’d better act fast though, there’s been a bit of a surge over the last 2 weeks!
