    PA State Rep. Clint Owlett
    *** Second Amendment Notification***

This week a few members of the Democratic Party in the House have introduced HB768, which would require every private firearm to be registered, every lawful gun owner to be fingerprinted, pay annual registration fees, and be forced to carry a gun owner ID at all times.

This bill has been sent to the Judicatory Committee.

I will most definitely be a no vote on this legislation if it ever makes it to the floor for a vote.

I would like to thank all of you who have called and emailed.

Democrats are either paid or forced to, by the DNC, to introduce these type bills at the state level all across the nation.
Hell, it even comes up in Alabama! They go to committee, get thrown out, get very little media coverage and we move on.
I would not doubt that PA has more legal gun owners than Alabama. I also wouldn't doubt that you folks in PA are more hard core deer hunters than here too.
Gun control is a roadblock to socialism. "From our COLD, DEAD HANDS!!"

What the heck is going on with these reps. They do no will of the people . Today they are more worried if a prisoner has nightmares because he is in jail.Oh boo hoo. I am glad that you are taking the stand against it, you are one of few that realize gun registration leads to confiscation.

I'm sure they understand it perfectly, but they don't care. A lot of the people that want to restrict gun sales and ownership live in fear of guns due to very poor or no education of firearms. They truly believe that guns are dangerous. They have this inner driving force that just wants the world to be safer and since they don't understand guns all they see is the pain they cause. We live in a society that is much softer than it used to be. Think about life when you were a kid and look at how many things have changed to make the world "safer" for those that lack common sense. As an example their is a warning on the side of most 5 gallon buckets explaining that children can drown in them. So somewhere a child drowned in a bucket and the mother took no responsibility and blamed the bucket. It's the same mentality.... they blame the gun not the shooter. We have to keep voting and fighting but in the meantime firearm education is our ally. Take someone to the range with you!!

Ain’t that the truth. Everyday, millions of American kids are sent into the arms of Liberal teachers. In regards to Sandy Hook, I blame the mother that knew she had a wackadoodle kid and didn’t do enough about it. Guess she paid a price for that. The whole thing is just sad.

I hope you don't think that is what I was referring to... I apologize if I was misleading and I will edit my post, but I was referring to firearm education. In other words, take someone shooting. Show them a gun, how to handle it safely, what it can do, how to use it and teach them that it is just a tool. A gun is no different than an axe, butcher knife, hammer or any other tool. It's only as good or bad as the person using it. I've taught a few people to shoot. People that have never fired a gun and they always enjoy it. It is an eye opener for them. That's the education I'm talking about.

My understanding is that the primary sponsor of this legislation is Rep. Angel Cruz, not surprisingly a democrat from Philadelphia. I would offer the observation that the city of Philadelphia constitutes roughly 12 percent of the population of the state of Pennsylvania but is responsible for over half of the documented murders that occur in the state. I would be curious to hear Rep. Cruz' take on that rather onerous statistic.

Like my buddy Bob Depp said "Why don't we just make killing people illegal?"

We are suffering the effects of an education system that teaches kids "what to think", instead of "how to think".

I'm afraid that we're in pretty big trouble.:( jd

You are all on notice, the Idaho State Legislature will be introducing a bill shortly: NO citizens of states with more restrictive firearms or unconstitutional laws will be allowed to emigrate to Idaho. Try Montana instead. The problem we have found with those from Kali or Kolo is that they want to bring their attitudes with them.
