You have some great guns there @JimPag. Two questions. Why are you only shooting that gun at 100? The other question is in regards to tuners. I've seen several different ones on your rifles. Do you have a favorite?

I shoot both my 30 Gorilla and 30BR just at 100 yards. I have my 30 Jag 2 and now my 30Thrasher and 30BRX that I will use at 2 & 300 yards only because I can get another 150 to 200 FPS more velocity out of those cases which IMO will help me a tad more when the wind is blowing. I've had and used 1 Borden, 5 Ezell's, 4 Goodling's, 1 Schmidt, and 1 Beggs. The last one is without a doubt the biggest pain in the ass tuner that I have. Mike's tuner is the easiest to adjust and is the heaviest at 7oz. the other 4 all weight about the same a tad over 4oz. I've only used Jackie's tuner in one match, so I can't give you an honest opinion on that tuner yet. I like Jim's tuner but I prefer a tuner that extends beyond the muzzle. So flip a coin between Mike and Sid's tuner.

Jim will recognize this. I got it from him last year. Its a Borden Rimrock rblpre 30br,R&M stock, Jewell trigger, RC Barrel & Weaver 36xr. I also have a Krieger with a Borden tuner on it for it but haven't put it on yet. Wanted to learn reloading before & decided to keep this worn out old barrel on there!
    Thanks for everything Jim!
    Keith

ps Jim, just figured out why my pics are upside down on BRC!!LOL

Yup Keith, how could I forget that rifle. Bought it from Lloyd, put 11 rounds thru it at my home to find a quick load, drove 7&1/2 hours for a 100yd match and ended up in 1st with a measly 250-15X's out of 16 shooters. Brought it back home and sold it to you. LOL!

Looks too nice to shoot Mike. I wouldn't tell Roy that because he's got a big head as it is already.

Not being a jerk when I saw this, but your work is so precise that I can’t tell the difference between this one and one you posted earlier on the thread.

Take a look at both actions. One of them has the bolt on the wrong side. LOL!

Just got this back this afternoon from being painted. One of my 100 yard only rifles. Older Farley, right bolt, right port. 23&1/4" Bartlein 17TW unpolished barrel chambered in 30 Gorilla, (6.5 Grendal necked up to .308, shoulder blown forward to 35 degrees) by Larry Feusse of Michigan with 467 rounds thru it, and has an Ezell PDS tuner on it. It has a B&A trigger and a Speedy stock that was just redone by Tom Meredith. This guy can paint and bed a stock. It is flawless. He removed the old paint. Told me in all the years that he's been painting, he's never seen so much paint on a stock. He said about 3oz worth. He lengthened the stock 3/4" to 13&1/2 and made a custom buttplate. he made some aluminum pillars for it and glued and screwed the stock after it was painted. He painted it House of Kolors flaked Candy Burple faded into a metalflake silver. The pictures don't do this paint job any justice. It has a custom 1 piece Davidson base by Goodling, Kelbly Blk anodized double screw side lock rings with a March 40X scope with a 3/32" dot. I have 2 spare 30 Gorilla barrels, a used 17TW Krieger that the chamber was just freshened up, and a newer Muller 19TW barrel with 75 rounds thru it. I have had pretty good luck with this Bartlein barrel. I broke it in with 10 shots. It took me 8 shots to find a load. Took it to Johnstown, NY for a 2 day State 100-200 shoot and came in 1st with a 250-21x at 100. Went to my second match with it one month later, a 2 day 100-200 meter match in VT, came in 2nd at 100 meters with another 250-21X. This rifle shoots pretty good and has little recoil.

I’ve had the layout of this stock in my head for the past 16 years. A customer from TX commissioned me to make him a one of a kind stock, so I pulled a slab out of inventory, and put it all together.
