Anyone have any experience with these bullet on varmints ? 53gr out of a 22/250 12" twist is what I'll be taking to MT dogs

I run 70gr in my 6AI, 40gr in my 222 and 55gr in my Swift. Accurate, well priced and splat factor when driven at speed. Seem to be very forgiving with regards to seating depth, less so than Vmax bullets at least.

With regards to dogs, don't have them here in Australia, but are the bees knees on foxes and hares at extended ranges. Having said that, any bullet driven out of my Swift or AI at close to 4000fps messes most things up. I don't think you'll have a problem out to 400 yards.

I used 55g Varms in a 9T 223 FV12 last year on pdogs, no complaints on the end results. Longest shot was 520 yds, just punched a hole thru the little bugger.

I am working on a load for a FV12 22/250 using the 53g Varms, should be a deadly load when I get it finalized.

I shot 55 gr tipped VG's out of a 12tw Sako 22-250. It was a slower load, 3400fps or so, they were extremely accurate to 550 yards, fell of at 600 though.
Worked great on pdogs, with slightly less carnage than what a vmax would do or did. I just assumed the jacket was a little thicker on the VG.
