Probably 25 years ago I switched from rifle to Contender pistols for deer hunting. I also shoot IHMSA with Contender’s and XP’s.
Last year I purchased this Savage rifle from the classifieds here. CBI 30 inch 6 BR barrel and Sav-2 trigger. I’m having a great time shooting it and learning how to shoot a rifle off rest.

4 shots 100 yds with Nosler 105 Custom Comp blem bullets.

Bought some Sierra 107’s from classifieds here. Was at the range last week working up new XP 6.5 BR silhouette gun and decided to shoot the Savage at 200 yds.

I have the same rifle set up and my question if I may - please expand on the forearm adaptor I see in your photo .
    1- who made it
2- how well does it perform
3- where could I find one
    Thank you

    Very nice,
I'm working on a plan to widen the forearm on mine to around 3.5 using Ebony wood inlaid and blended approx 7" long with 1/2 tall sides and cove top giving it somewhat of a McMillian look Improving the tracking while staying as low as possible.
    Regards

Try some 87 vmax and 105 amax. My BR always shot them better than the 107 MK

I'm settled on 107 for the next 500 rounds at least. I've tested my tail the last month. Probably Berger next or more 107 smk
On a good tune it shoots small with 107
    Thx
