I just got this rifle finished and haven’t got to shoot it yet it. It should be just the ticket for suppressed coyote hunting, At least that is what I built it for.
Remington 700 action trued, .25” ground recoil lug, Shilen 21” heavy varmint barrel 1-8” twist. Muzzle threaded 5/8-24 for a suppressor, with thread protector. The barreled action is Cerakote graphite black. Metal work done by King Custom Arms. It has a Bell and Carlson m40 stock done over by Long Rifles Inc. with their CNC bedding recut and their camo paint job. Has old style walker Remington trigger tuned to a crisp 2lbs. And he Remington detachable magazine set up with two 4 round mags. I’m going to fire form some brass and see how it groups with fireform loads. And if time permits I’ll do some load development with 80gr SMK and 80gr Eldm Asking $1,550 shipped.
    Thanks
    Tim

Its a shame you have to sell it. I have one with a slower twist and it is a lot of fun to shoot.

I don’t see why not, though it was intended for Long heavy for caliber bullets. I suppose if a person pushed lighter bullets too fast they might come apart. I don’t know where that threshold would be...

You can shoot 50g bullets in a 1-8 twist IF you slow them down. If you shoot the 50g at/near max pressure you will either have the jacket separate the bullet core or your action will lock tight from over pressure. Just be careful.

Yes. Just slow them down a bit.
