New 21st Century Shooting Incremental O.D Neck Tension Dies!

Happy 4th of July from all of us here at 21st Century Shooting! And to add some news to this day, today we are introducing our new Incremental Outside Diameter Neck Tension Dies! (I know a mouthful to say!)
The die bodies will come in two sizes (for now) Long and Short (will follow same sizing as our expander die bodies per cartridge). They utilize our exclusive case hardened self centering sizing dies that will be available in an array of sizes.
The case hardened tool steel dies come in .001" increments and will have a .003" internal taper for fine tuning your tension. Using these in conjunction with our expander mandrels will allow the reloader to fine tune neck tension with minimal run-out!
John has been using one of these for some time with outstanding results!
More details/videos/etc. to come. These will be available in the near future on our website. We will announce here when they are ready to go!
Just wanted to get you all thinking about this on the holiday weekend!

Just wanted to update everyone on the progress of these dies. We are currently in the process of machining the die inserts. We want to have each size available before posting these for sale, thus the delay in release. I will announce when these are ready to go! Thanks for your patience.

I guess i dont get it. Is it a bushing neck only die? Does the one bushing adjust diameter? Does the case get supported in the die?

Dusty. There are two die bodies that are used in this system. Long for over 30-06 length cases and short. The die inserts are held by the cap and self center. Nothing supports the case. The inserts are tapered with the indicated size at the opening to .003” smaller at the end (top) of the insert. So a .289 insert will have an opening of .289” and top end of .286”. These are designed to be used in conjunction with our expander mandrels. Why have a taper? Well we have found that this taper reduces the occurrence of a donut at the neck/shoulder junction. Die inserts will be available for a wide range of sizes. Thanks

Look forward to seeing one. Love the rest of 21st century lineup cant see why i wouldnt like this too

Im looking at this that it has a tapered bushing? If so wouldnt it give you a tapered neck?
The taper is to reduce the occurrence of a donut at the neck/shoulder junction. After these dies are used the use of expander mandrels will remove taper.

Help me understand your die.... would it be accomplishing a similar task as significantly 'floating' the bushing in a bushing die? In other words only having the neck 'gripping' the bearing surface ahead of the pressure ring?

Yes. This would be very similar to that process.
