I need to figure out long action magazines, what are the details?

What mag?

What bullet?

What throat?

What COAL?

How far is that off the lands?

My next project has CIP length magazines. I wonder if the 0.090" shorter case of 338 RUM will let me get 300 grain Berger's in the magazine without too much jump? Or maybe if a 250 will fit and I single load for serious ELR?

I haven't done the homework yet, if you have, I would like to copy.

She is a Pussycat! 95gr. RL33, Berger 300 gr. OTM, 215M primer.
2750 fps first 5 shots. Very modest recoil! I was surprised.
Next time out more powder.

Shot 100 grains of RL33 with the 300 Berger OTM 2080 yards at a steel plate.
The wet ground and fair lighting did not yield any hits.
We had a great time at the Dasher Dome.

About a month ago Stocky's stocks was on Accurate Shooter with a sale. I bought one for a Remington long action and the bottom metal and mag for the .339 Lapua Magnum. We had to mill the stock to fit the bottom metal. It has an aluminum bedding area for the action.

I like the stock, it will mag feed, but the mag is short for the .338 Edge. If you page back on the bulletin you will find the pricing. It may be cheaper now being Black Friday. I would like a longer mag. Otherwise I like it.

Do you remember if you got CIP length bottom metal and magazine or just the standard long action version?
I once owned a TRG 338LM. Sold it during my chemo treatments back in 2010. Really considering getting another ELR rifle.
