Wine country both WA and OR. OR would be my choice. Lots of tasting rooms in Carlton.
Hood River where the crazy wind surfers are on the Columbia.
The dam nearby on the Columbia.
Oh did I mention several breweries.
lunch at the lodge on Mt Hood. One of the great old national park lodges. They'll still be a lot of snow, probably still skiing

Go over to Bend, nice downtown area with good shops/food for the wife and you.
Tour and tasting at Deshutes Brewery.
Fly fishing on Deshutes and John Day rivers.
Also a beautiful drive in the
    Columbia George.
Cascade locks fish hatchery, Multnomah falls time permitted take 84 into Portland catch hwy 26 and go check out the coast.

Oy! That's where I live. If you head out this way Mcminnville has a pretty fair aviation museum, there also used to be some old Soviet armor out back.

Been there done that several times. We love that area. We drink a lot of Pinot's and travel mostly to wine country. Burgundy France this year. The Spanish Rioja region next year. Rent a house and settle in for a week or so. First time we were in Carlton there three tasting rooms. Last trip we counted 23.

Carson Hot Springs is a nice spot to spend an hour or so, about 20 min from Hood River.
The Stone Hedge is a really nice place to eat in Hood River.

Almost forgot ( maybe because I live there ) the bright lights/big city of Portland is an hour away. All sorts of entertainments there!

I’ll give another strong recommendation for the air museum. It’s second only to the Smithsonian Air and Space. The Spruce Goose is there, an SR71 a section of the Berlin Wall and so much more. Give yourself enough time. Truly a fantastic place. And a beautiful area.

I'll second the drive up the George and a visit to the lodge on Mt, Hood.

No worries, half the state is stoned anyway!
Take your time and the back roads, enjoy the scenery.

Definitely Timberline Lodge. Bonneville dam and hatchery. Biggest sturgeon you'll ever see, let alone get face-to-face a couple of feet away. Mount St. Helen's is just across the river and a little north if the weather is clear. Go to Johnson Ridge, you'll be looking right into the crater. Have a great time!

A trip to southern Oregon is in order.
75% on Oregon cannabis is produced here out in the open for the world to see.
