Mark Kurtz of Leland, MS guided his BAT M chambered in 6 Dasher to a new range record Saturday at 300 yards. He shot 105 Berger VLD's which were HBN coated and pointed; pushed by H4895 powder. He really had it tuned up right. Congratulations Mark. James Mock

    James,
What did you shoot? Is your new barrel/cartridge combination working for you?

Joe, I shot an old 6PPC barrel. I decided not to shoot my 6 BRA in this 300 yard match, but will shoot it at 600 on Oct. 21st. In the 300 yard match I could only manage a 292/300 with 28.8 gr. of 4197 Data powder and a 68 gr. flat base bullet. This load just could not run with the Dashers. James

    James,
Out of curiosity, what make bullet? Have you tried Bart's 68 gr Ultra FB's?

I have shot many, many rounds loaded with Bart's excellent Ultra and the world records shot with this bullet speak well of its quality. I was, in fact, shooting Ultra's in the match, but just could not get a handle on the wind. James
