March 2.5-25x42 Users ?

Looking to find out if anyone is using a March 2.5-25x42 and how you like it.
What reticle you use? What turrets ? how it compares to other scopes you have and have used?
Interested in one and just trying to find out all I can.

I've owned/used one for several years now. Mostly as a hunting scope. Tactical-style external turrets, MTR-4 reticle.

I've abused it in any number of ways (including dropping the rifle a few times, with the scope on it) - it's never failed to hold zero and it's never prevented me from taking whatever game I'm hunting. Can't ask it for more than that.

I recently stuck it on a new build PRS rifle for a few weeks to practice with and it worked fine there as well, though not ideal being a SFP scope.

Closely related, my son and I use a 3-24x42 FFP with FMA-1 reticle for F-TR. At 23oz, they allow for heavier barrels. Been using them for a couple of years and think they are great for a variety of activities: hunting, PRS, F-TR. I like 25MOA per revolution on both windage and elevation with elev. zero stop: hard to get lost on the turrets ever.

All those good things said, we use Leupold VX-R scopes for hunting. They are lighter, far cheaper, and still bright and reliable: perfect for that activity.

I've played with several scope this last year including Schmittys, Atacrs, Mx Steiners, NXSs, Valdada and some mid range scopes. I just wanted to get my hands on them and form my own opinions. Long story short my favorite hunting scope out all of them is my March 2.5-24x42 FFP. It's much more compact than others in that power range. It's very clear, the turrets are repeatable and reliable, gathers light well and the reticle is Mil based and very well designed. I love it. If you want more info or opinion, feel free to PM me.

I had a FFP 3-24x42 with FML-1 reticle and I liked it. Good glass, great size and weight. The only thing I did not like was the parallax adjustment. The focus window is very small and takes some getting used to. It goes from fuzzy to sharp to fuzzy in a minimal amount of turret rotation. Not sure if the 2.5-25x42 has the same issue.
