i purchased an older model kelblys panda action. It’s beautifully polished. Is there a lubricant that’s preferable for aluminum and is there a certain product that’s best for protecting it?

Yep, and then I like to put a coat of wax on it.

Anything special for lubrication? Personally I like a light weight synthetic motor oil on my steel actions.

Hobo oil on everything except the bolt lugs and cocking cam. Green grease from Kelbly's for that area.

I seem to remember there is some kind of grease that should never be used on or near aluminum. Electrolisis issues?? I don't remember what it is, but maybe some other member does recall and can tell us. I have heard this from aircraft mechanics. No such grease in their tool boxes. YMMV.
