Loading Hornady Brass with Forster Dies 6.5 Creedmoor

Curious what size bushing people are using for Hornady brass. For matches I use my Lapua brass, but for playing around I use the Hornady. I've noticed I don't get as consistent neck tensions with the Hornady brass as I do with the Lapua brass. I've been using the .292 for both.

Depends on chamber neck diameter and how much interference fit needed to hit the target most accurately. My sized neck dims average 0.2897". And the loaded/seated average is 0.2899".

.292 is pretty loose with the Hornady. A .289-290 would be a better fit. Measure loaded and adjust accordingly.

That's what I thought. I'll start using the .288. With my Lapua brass, the brass walls are so much thicker than the Hornady brass, and the .292 is perfect.

The other thing I did, is buy a Mandrel sizing die. I think this will help with that cheaper Hornady brass too; and my other brass as well.
