Line of sight

Wondering how everyone finds their line of sight measurement for your drop charts? I always measured diameter of the bolt and the scope tube divided them in half and added the halves to the distance from top of bolt to bottom of scope. I’ve measured both the tube and the objective, always seems to be .04” off. Thanks

I measure scope an divide by half. I measure barrel and divide by half. I then measure the base from barrel to top. Then I measure ring from bottom to where scope sits and add up. Matt

I pull the bolt open until it's even with the scope and measure from center of bolt to center of scope . this measurement is called " sight height" .
