Does anyone have any feedback on this scope at max magnification? My dad is gonna try out f class and is retired so not looking to break the bank. I know there are better alternatives but just curious about the image at 18x. Thanks.

I have that scope on my Ruger varmint .243. I used it for my first F-class match, you know, bring what ya got. I rarely take it off max power for varmints, and for the sight picture on an F-class target, it worked fine for me. Plenty of magnification to track your impact and score markers. IMHO, I have no complaints.

Maybe a good price now if you can find one. The VX2 was recently discontinued, and also the VX-1 line. Replaced with the VX Freedom Line, not sure the new line has a 6-18 though, it’s not on their website.

I have 2 VX2 scopes, and no complaints. Clear vision and adjustments are repeatable. Not as nice as the next model up but very useable.

I have one I got three years ago. It sits on a CZ-455 .22LR rifle. Very happy with it.

He will like it. Almost the same size as 4x12, but more power!

Any difficulty seeing the shot spotter at 1000 at 18 power?
