Ok, this is an open question, I'm not trying to provoke any animosity between anyone on this site, only because everyone here is as far as I can tell is open-minded........and spot on.

This is in regard to another site, which will remain nameless, because it is not relevant, but I do want some opinions.

So, the site in question he is a "moderator/retired gunsmith" who also claims to have worked for the DOJ for 20 years 3 months and 17 days.............my question is why is that so important to him to throw that out all the time? I respect that......but I've found out that it was a "tech/lock-smith" job, and I still respect what the man did. I've worked a job for 37 years, but that does not define me as a man.

A lot of his posts go on for endless paragraphs that amount to little, if anything, but he will go out of his way to try to discredit anyone who contradicts him.................What is one to do?

P.S. I've found his information to be incorrect at times, but he will fall back on the fact that he was a "gunsmith" and I wasn't.............sorry, but gunsmiths are like doctors...............some were at the top and some were at the bottom. JMO.

Should the "BOSS" view this as inappropriate.....please delete it.

Well, all I'm getting out of this is you and a member of another forum are at odds and even when you confront the other poster with 'evidence', the other poster defers to his years of experience as reason to discount your 'evidence'.

This sort of thing happens every day, all the time.

    What, precisely, is your question?

Ignore him. If that is not feasible, quit visiting the site, but, remember, every site will have someone whose personality will conflict with yours to a certain extent. Life is too short to let it get to you.

Don't have any idea which forum you refer to but if it's laid out like this one, use what is available, hit the "ignore" button.

Life is too short to let anyone rent space in your head. Sounds easy, I have a couple guys on SH like that too, stay out of their posts, if he joins in, bail, your message will get skewed no matter how you react.

Sounds like a mall ninja that frequent a "hidden sharpshooters site". Don't let it bother you. We can not fix stupid. There is a ton more info and knowledge from the guys who post here. Here you have national Champs and world record setters. Over there you have color choices on ghillie suits. Hang out here it will improve your shooting knowledge.

Hah! Might be old. Might be a kid from New York. Who knows, it's the internet.
Either way, it's not worth the time it took to start this thread.

People who tend to brag on themselves that much are usually insecure and need to be relevant.

Nope done did.. I counted the 9 yrs as an MP in the Army not real police work but was counting it because the DOJ guy did 30. LOL. Actually I made those numbers up. I have never been one to track time. I did 23 years in San Antonio. Thank the Lord that is over. I wanted to do 2 more but the wife said to go and I was not about to argue.
